Andrey Pinsky B.Sc., M.Sc., J.D., M.B.A.
Andrey Pinsky is a member of Ontario Bar. Andrey is a business, technology and intellectual property lawyer. Prior to completing his J.D. degree at the Faculty of Law at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, Andrey obtained B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering and M.Sc. degree in computer engineering. Andrey also holds M.B.A. degree from the School of Business at the University of Ottawa.
Andrey established his law practice to address the needs that his clients face in a highly competitive marketplace. He delivers legal services with accessibility, personal attention and efficiency. Andrey provides a range of services to support start-up and existing companies, technology enterprises, entrepreneurs and inventors in a variety sectors of economy. Andrey assists clients, especially during the formation stage of their businesses, in establishing of legal presence through corporate and proprietary interests, including incorporation of businesses, preparation of shareholders agreements, preparation of business agreements, registration of patents, trademarks and copyrights and resolution of business conflicts. His technical training as an electrical and computer engineer makes him particularly well suited to provide advice to aviation and aerospace, telecom, electronics, computer, internet, semiconductor, network, and medical device companies.
Andrey is registered to practice before the Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO) and the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). In his intellectual property practice, Andrey provides clients with all the services they could need to secure protection for intellectual property such as trademark clearance searches, product branding, trademark registrations, corporate and business name protection, logos, label design, packaging, trade mark oppositions, patent searches, patentability opinions, patent drawings, patent drafting, patent examination and responses, patent maintenance.
Andrey also advises traditional businesses and emerging companies outside of the fields of technology and electrical and computer arts. In his commercial practice, Andrey assists to a variety of individuals and companies to incorporate and expand their businesses. Andrey advises on issues concerning shareholders' agreements, merger agreements, partnership and joint venture agreements during the formation or reorganization of a business. From negotiating contracts and leases to litigating to protect his clients, he deals with sole proprietorships, family businesses and established companies in a broad sector of the community. He also gives practical legal advice with regards to developing, securing, protecting or enforcing clients' goodwill, patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets and other intellectual property assets. His litigation practice includes contractual disputes, employment law and debt collection, as well as general litigation in a variety of areas.
